If karen hasn't been on her computer, how would she get a message from you
asking if she had been?

You probably better look more closely at the difference between email and
newsgroups on your computer because you sent this private communication to
an international newsgroup with thousands of people around the world
receiving it.

On the other hand, maybe karen is just ignoring you?
