K8V SE Deluxe new BIOS 1006 Final - Anyone out there tried it ??

Has anyone tried the recent K8V SE Deluxe motherboard BIOS version 1006 ?
(From ASUS German FTP site or Asusupdate)
It loaded and verified fine, but seemed to really screw up my system.
I reset the CMOS after the update but it kept hanging up even in the BIOS
settings screen.
One time the spooky voice even announced that the CPU voltage was wrong or
something similar.
I eventually managed to recover it back to 1005 (it's a long story and it
was difficult...) and it seem fine again now.

Any thoughts ?...

Doesn't work fine, it's the 1006.003 beta without any modification. DDR
clock at 333 instead of 400Mhz and the system is unstable if you force the
RAM clock.
I gone back to 1006.001 beta

OK, thanks for that info.
But silly of them to describe it as a "Final" version then....
Incidentally, do you know what benefits 1006.001 gives over 1005 apart from
"more processor support" ??

there is new beta at
ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/Socket_754/VIA_Chipset/K8T800/K8V_SE_Deluxe/

this beta run fine, but I suggest you select "cmos erase" during flashing.
I did not select it, and I had to manually clear CMos to restart.

Yeah 1007 beta works for me too !
1006 really screwed up everything, thought I'd need a new BIOS chip for a
while...

I had to remove the battery even selecting the "cmos erase" feature with
asusupdate prog.: perhaps is better use afudos with /pc parameters
