K8V SE DELUXE don't boot - Help Please

Hi,

I just built my new PC on the K8V SE Deluxe with AMD64 3200 and 2x512(CL
2.5) DDR 400 Kingston memory RAM. I used an old box with a 300W power
supply.

When I tried to boot the system:
1.- It's not arrives signal to the screen
2.- It's not make the POST proccess. No beep.
3.- When I try to turn off the system with the power button,
nothing occurs. Then I keep off the power wire to turn off the machine.

What's happen?. It's possible the power supply be too low?.

The K8V SE Deluxe mainboard have a 4pin power connector, but my power
supply only have one with 20pin connector. It's necessary to have 2
power connectors?.

Thank you for you responses and sorry for my english :)

Yes, you must have BOTH connectors (ATX and the 4 Pin) in order for the
board to Post and boot. You power supply may not be adequate...the wattage
is meaningless...your +12v rail should have at least 18A to run the board
without problems. I would recommend a known good brand of power supply,
such as Antec True Power (I am using the 550).
