I just downloaded the latest version of K-Lite Mega ten minutes ago
from free-codecs.com and the package has a version number of 1.50.

Besides, I have NEVER needed to use used a P2P to download this Mega
Pack before...

Is this version for real?
Has something malicious been packed into it?

It's confusing on
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm.
The title is K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.50
but
just under the DOWNLOAD link, is stated:
"Features of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.51"

But the only download links I can find give v.1.50.

Okay I just read all the posts (up to this point) and I got version
1.51 from a legit source---so it was premature of me to question
whether or not there was malware in the package. Sorry for the alarm.
