On WUpdate, I got the option under hardware to up date to jungo's windriver.
What the hell is this? The explanation page is typically non-infomative.
Should this update be applied and what does it do or replace? Thanks.

Do you have some sort of device with Windows CE that you have connected
to the computer? A PocketPC? Don't apply drivers from Windows Update
anyway. If everything is working well, you don't need to change
anything.

No, I don't have CE or, I'm not on a network. no external devices connected.
Why would this be offered and what is it?

Since I can't see your computer, I can't answer you as to why it would
be offered. Googling for "Jungo's WinDriver" indicates that this seems
to be a driver for embedded devices. I wouldn't worry about it, and I
wouldn't install drivers found on Windows Update. They cause problems
more often than not. In most cases if your computer is working well,
you don't need to update drivers anyway.

I have net 1.1 installed. Could this be calling fot it? This seems to be a
system driver for developers which I'm not.I'm not installing it , I just
want to know what's caling for it as no one else seems to be receiving this
option.

Surely MS must be aware by now that the device driver updates they offer
are frequently problematic. This is one thing I wish they'd stop.
