Jumpy Video on Playback

Help! Help!! Help!!
I'm experiencing a jumpy video on playback on the timeline. Because the
movie was imported to a harddrive, I swithched computers, no help. Defragged,
no help....
I don't know what to do, Papa John anybody with a clue please help. It's a
school project and the kids are already fustrated...

If you save the project as a movie (.wmv or .avi)
does it play successfully in Windows Media Player?

Maybe you have a problem with file compatibility:

I had the same problem with my old p4 1.6gz computer. I built a e6600 core
2 duo system and it is smooth now. it takes a lot of processor and computer
to run the play back

Same problem when played with windows movie player. The movies was imported
and saved on the external hard drive as a .wmv. 6 tapes in all. All tapes
acting same way. I've imported, edited and saved movies on this computer
before, no problem. Still lost........ Help!!!

Could be resource issues and might even be an
issue with your video adapter.

If you reduce your Graphics Hardware Acceleration
as per the instructions in the following article and
realize an improvement, it's an indication that you
need to update your video driver:

Change the acceleration setting, did the drivers update, but didn't work.
Don't know what else to do.......

I don't know either...all I can do is guess.

Have you tried playing the movie on a
different machine?

I'm thinking it comes back to resource
issues. Maybe you need more RAM.

And maybe it would help to increase
the size of your virtual memory paging
