I am currently experiencing a "jumpy" scroll bar while
using IE 6. I will scroll down a page I am viewing and it
will jump back up to the top for no reason. This has been
ongoing for about a month and occurs sporadically. I am
using XP and think I have all the current updates.

Any thoughts on how to fix this or the origin of the
problem?

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

This is a result of the last IE6 cumulative patch from Microsoft. The only
known solution is to remove the patch or wait for the next one from
Microsoft.

Can you please post which patch please?
