Jumping ,Jittering of start menu and Icons

my start menu, icons, taskbar, cursor etc randomly start jittering, the
words that I type into address bar do the same and if I try to type into
google search, the type appears in the address bar, what is causing this?

I have run my AV with full updates, spybot with full updates, adaware with
full updates.CWSSredder no faults

I have downloaded and installed latest nvidia drivers and run dxdiag this
reports no faults

I have run trojan scanner with no faults

Do you have a fan or some sort of electric motor near you monitor? Try
moving it further away or turning it off.

Joseph, thx, it has been driving me mad I do have an external HD right next
to my monitor, could this be the cause?

Try moving it and see. Normally I would not think so as those motors
are small and I believe not very noisy but a simple test will tell.
