I recently upgraded my mother board to one that has 4 usb ports. My mouse,
joystick, and printer all work fine in those ports. When I plug in my jump
drive, it does not display in Windows Explorer or My Computer. However, I
know it's there because I can find it in Computer Management, Disk
Management. I can copy files to and from it, etc. I can back up my MS Money
file to it (Drive F:) but My Computer and Windows Explorer never show Drive
F: I tried removing the other usb items with no difference. I also plugged in
another jump drive with same results. Very much appreciate some help with
this puzzle. Thanks...

Plug in your thumb drive. Go to disk management. Find the drive. Right
click. Change drive letter. Change it to another drive letter (suggest drive
R: for removable). Reboot. It should show up in Explorer now.

Thank you, Richard. Well I did that and it did not help. I also tried
uninstalling the jump drive and then letting it automatically reinstall at
boot. Came back in as F: I downloaded a shareware file transfer program and
it sees the drive with no problem and it works fine so the problem seems
specific to Windows. Appreciate any other suggestions.

Using MS 'Tweak UI' you can check if there drives
which the display is locked for:

My Computer -> Drives

If this doesn't help, you can try to mount the drive
into an empty NTFS folder in the Disk Management.
