How do i convert yyyy-mm-dd date format in to a julian date? can somebody
help? Thanks

With your yyyy-mm-dd date in Excel-readable format in cell A1, this
formula will do it:
=YEAR(A1)&A1-DATE(YEAR(A1),1,1)
