jpg thumbnails are being put on my C:\ drive

Everytime I run a show in powerpoint and use the presenter view,
because I have two display boards, jpg pics of the slides are saved to
my hard drive.
How can I stop this?

Where are the images saved?
Are they not deleted when the presentation's over?
