jpg file gives error *.jpg is not a valid Win32 application

When I try to open a jpg file from it's folder I get an error "filename.jpg is
not a valid Win32 application." I can open the file by right clicking and
selecting Open with Internet Explorer. I remember several months back being
able to open any jpg file by just double clicking. Can anybody tell me what my
problem is? T IA

Hi R3jar - Download, unzip and run this .reg file from MVP Doug Knox:
JPE/JPG/JPEG Association Fix (Restore the default associations for
jpe/jpg/jpeg files)
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/xp_jpg_jpe_jpeg_file_assoc_fix.zip

See if that fixes it.
