Journal Options Missing Item types

Outlook 2002 with Office 2000. on a corporate network with
Exchange 2000. From Tools/Options/Journal Options....we
are missing the Types list with check boxes that should
allow you to set what Outlook Item types to automatically
create Journal Entries from. Any help on this is
appreciated. Thanks.

Mixed versions of Office/Outlook will have this problem.

Thank you much for the acknowledgement/admission. I guess
by your statement it means there must not be a solution?

then, how do you fix it so the different types, e.g., tasks, show up?
