Joining fileserver to domain?

Brief synopsis:

Domain setup correctly, with 2 servers (1 NT4 Domain
Controller and the other a 2003 Server Fileserver).

The Domain Controller goes bad (hardware failure) and the
entire machine is replaced by a server running Windows 2000 Server.

The person who replaced the Domain Controller didn't know how
to set up a network, so there are SID errors all over the place from
the workstations.

The domain is going to be rebuilt, workstations rejoined to
the new domain ( the one to be set up).

My question is this: Does the fileserver have to be backed
out and rejoined to the domain as well? (2003 server machine)
I've never done it to a fileserver, especially with 2003 server, and
I was wondering how I'd go about it.

Thanks for any help...

Yes. You do it the same as a workstation.

Thanks for the reply. Would you mind double checking
my planned procedure?

So, I should run the Files and Settings Transfer on the 2003
Fileserver, then back it out of the now-defunct domain (right-click
My Computer, Computer Name tab, etc.).

Then, rejoin the domain and bring back in the files
and settings. Would the Configure Your Server wizard work best
for rejoining the domain?

Thanks

Mike
