Hi all,
I can join 3 column like (A1-Name, B1- Middle Name and C1 is Surname) in
column D thru CONCATENATE(a1,b1,c1) aqnd result display in Column D1.

It is possible that in D1 Surname is Bold or italic and rest of normal.
please tell me how is possible.

I don't think that it's possible to have different formatting within a
cell - I may well be wrong, but I've not seen it done before.

If the cell contains text -- not a formula and not a real number, you can select
different characters in the cell (in the formulabar) and change the formatting
(bold/font/font color/etc).

After joining, copy the cell and paste special>value to get rid of the formula.

You can then format sections as you like by selecting parts in the formula bar.

It's possible to use a macro to change the format of characters in a cell that
contain text. Try recording a macro when you do it.

But if the cell contains a formula, then it's not possible.

You can't have a formula in the cell, so that means if you
need to combine cells you will need to do the concatenation
in the macro, or use copy, then edit, paste special, values.

The macro in the following will capitalize and bold the surname
as in a phone book with names like Jones, Danny

This should get you started if you have worked with macros before
