JExplorer is a dual-panel type file manager and web-browser
as well. It is similar to widely used Windows Commander.
JExplorer provides many advanced features such as file
manager, web browser, file compress/decompress, folder
comparator, FTP client, POP3 email check, image capture,
character recognition on the image, virtual drive mount.
JExplorer is a freeware and it runs under Windows 95/98/ME
and Windows NT4/2K/XP. Power toys JOCR, JMounter
and JCalculator are included in the JExplorer 1.8.

I like it, I've used the previous v. 1.7.0.4 for a long time.
Happy to see it's not a dead project.

For those who haven't check out the website:

not only JExplorer but an OCR, calculator etc. Worth a visit.
