Does anyone have experience of ie 6 sp1 being attacked by this particular
bug?

* <img src='http://127.0.0.1:0/bug.cgi'> appears to overwrite JavaScript
generated links - both invalidating the link and creating <<script error>>
on page.
* believe 127.0.0.1:0 is a loopback IP and not sure what is going on??

* Also - believe bug is responsible for black hole router problem (can only
find fixes for Regedt32 and NT & XL Registries - any information on W98SE
fix most welcome??)

Nothing showed with:

* BHODemon
* Hijack This

Any help most welcome. Thanks.

127.0.0.1 is your local machine. First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/cwshredder.zip
**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Will feedback outcome. Thanks again.

Frank,

A result - many thanks! Started with Adware - solved it! Other links full
of
lots of other very helpful resources. Didn't touch Black Hole
router/authentication
problem with particular URL. Originally thought this may have been
connected with
Java-Script generated links. Once again, very many thanks.
