Javascript Bug

I recently loaded IE 6 onto a Windows 98 SE machine. Now I
cannot, under any circimstances, get the browser to pop up
a new window using Javascript, ie, "window.open()". This
occurs on my own pages locally, and when navigating the
Internet. I have Active Scripting enabled. What else can
be wrong?

Sounds like you installed IE without javascript support.

HI Joe - You may need to reinstall scripting. For JavaScript: download the
latest engine for your particular OS here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?productID=&freetext=jscript&DisplayLang=en
(URL may wrap.) (Get both "Windows Script 5.6" and "JScript 5.6 Security
Patch" for your particular OS. I'm told that the Win2k downloads also work
for XP but I haven't verified this personally.)
