javacore and heapdump

After playing some games on Yahoo, my computer froze up when it came back, I
had about 85 shortcuts on my desktop to various "heapdump.phd" and "javacore"
files. The javacore files seem to be text documents with nothing on them.

Are these safe to delete?

Yes. As an aside, make sure you have the latest version of Java. If you
don't, uninstall all older versions and then install the latest one.
