Java applets

Hope I'm in the right place! IE6 won't let me view Java
applets. For example, when attempting to view looping
weather radars at the National Weather Service website, I
get an error message saying "Java and Javascript must be
enabled," and it prompts me to set my "Security" level to
medium and then reboot. I do this, and it still returns
the same error message.

I also am unable to view other Java applets on other
sites as well.

Can anyone please give me clear instructions on how to
resolve this? Thanks!
