Java 1.4.2 improperly installed

Can't run certain java apps because 1.4.2 was "improperly
installed" tried finding a download for it to reinstall,
so far unsuccesful. Any help would be thankful.

Java is in 5.0.3802 and 3810 for microsoft,dwnload the right one for
windows xp.

i had problem loading cetian java apps also. i installed
j2re 1.4.2_03 from java.com's site. it solved some
problems, but not all. there's a java app (live
streaming) that i'm trying to load, but is not
workingtried to get it to work, but no luck. any help?

That is Sun's Java - the official one. Get a download at
