Jagged Screen Fonts at 1024 x 768 Screen Settings

I have a Dell Inspiron 7500 PIII, with a ATI Rage P/M
Mobility AGP 2X set to 800 x 600 pixels. Bolded fonts are
fuzzy, but all other fonts are fine.

When I change the settings to 1024 x 768, with the
Effects/Smooth edge screen fonts on, the fonts are
jagged. When I click this off, the fonts remain jagged.

Our tech support group had to reinstall windows 2000 last
week on the laptop, and that is when this problem
occurred.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Double check correct video driver is installed or update it.
