italian job

please help..i was told to download directx9, as when loading italian job we had a power cut.i tried downloading that but it still says....directx complete..press ok....then it says directx not instaled.like i said before the game plays,but its up the wrong way and theres desktop stuff on there

Hi Gary,

Hopefully that power problem didn't fry some of the circuits on
your video card. Download and install the complete DX 9.0b from:
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-4c98-baf3-0c67e7f3751f/dx90update_redist.exe

*Antivirus / Firewalls can corrupt the download and installation,
it's highly recommended you disable them during this process.

Hi Gary,

I copied your post on top of my original reply to you.

There's nothing to unzip. The file is a self installing executable.
Just double click the file once it's download to install it. Good luck!

Also make sure you've completely disabled you anti-virus program before
attempting the install. Check in Administrative Tools/Services to make sure
Cryptograghic Services is enabled and running.

If you continue to have install issues, please post to the DirectX newsgroup
where the DirectX MVPs can get a shot at helping you.
