i came across one problem:
once i shut down my computer abormally by powering off directly.
then, everytime i start it, all works well except opening "My Computer".
when opening "My Computer", it becomes very very slow..., it is always busy
in "My Computer" Window, and there are no items such as logical C:, D:... the
mouse pointer is busy...

my OS is WinXP with SP2...

what's the matter with my OS?
what can i do?
thanks!!!

Check all drive/storage devices. This can be a result of Windows looking
for a drive or connected device that it sees as storage or that was not
removed "safely," to use XP parlance. This can be a card reader (often the
cause of such a problem as yours), a connected digital camera, scanner,
printer, USB drives, pen drives, connected flash media, etc. Another thing
to check is a USB hub, the kind that provide multiple USB connections, while
using only one on your PC. My guess is that "My Computer" cannot resolve
some files or a partition that were suddenly disconnected when your computer
shut down.
