ISO Missing?

I have downloaded RC1 twice now, and each time after the download manager
has finished, I cannot find the downloaded file. Searched for it, by name,
by size, by date - no success. Searched the web for similar problem, no
success.

What am I doing wrong?

It's in a virtual folder somewhere. Search the newsgroup, since this exact
question has been answered with the exact location several times.

If you have no success then try a download with firefox NOT using the
download manager from Msoft, link I think was in top right of page. Good
luck.

You could try without the download manager, it worked or me on both beta2 &
RC1.

Thanks! I found out the following elsewhere on the group:

There is a bug in the download manager when you run the download on Vista
Beta2. Pity Ms doesn't mention this on the download page!

Someone advised to find the file here
C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Virtualized

I can't eve find the "Temporary Internet File" folder.

I've given up. Here in the third world (SA) my "fast" broadband took 22
hours to download - and I did it twice! I'll just wait for the final
release, or a CD if MS sends it.

Thanks anyway!

You need to make sure you can see hidden files and folders, and probably
unhide protected operating system files too in able to find that virtual
folder.

Make that: You need to make sure you can see hidden files and folders, and
probably
unhide protected operating system files, to be able to find that virtual
folder.

Open the address toolbar (right click taskbar) and put the path in there.
Make sure you change the You to your user name.

Thanks guys! I discovered that I had "unhide protected operating system
files" ticked, but I was wrong! Foud the file, burned the CD, busy
installing!

I

Intel Inside

"burned the CD"
I doubt if you'll have any success with that.
