Isass.exe

With Windows XP on my toshiba 2400-S201 Laptop,

When turning on the Microsoft Window shows up but the
status bar continues to run. After a few minutes an error
message comes on that says Isasse.exe and Application
Error.

Can not use the computer at all??
Help!
