Isass.exe - System Error

Recently I have started to receive the following message when I first turn on
my computer: Isass.exe - System Error X An I/O operation initiated by the
Registry could not be read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that
contain the system's image of the registry. Then you click on an Ok box.
When I click on this box, my computer restarts again and I don't receive the
message a second time. I see no difference once it starts. What is this
and what can I do to correct it?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
 
I believe your machine is infected with the Sasser worm !

this did not help - downloaded a sasserworm removal tool - was told did not
have sasser worm - does anyone else have any advice?
