Someone told me WinXP is basically ungrapded OS from Win2000?
Is that true? What's big difference? I know that WinXP is a firewall
built in and Win2000 isn't.

XP is just a small kernel revision over 2000. 2000 is NT 5.0 and XP is NT
5.1 . Many of the "features" in XP (firewall, system restore, etc) are
actually just .exe programs running in the background. And of course the
bloated default GUI is just eye candy.

XP Professional is considered the upgrade from W2000.
