Is Vista Movie Maker WMV Incompatible with Streaming Servers

I realize this is a double post from the Vista community but there is not
much activity there yet on the subject of Vista Movie Maker.

My Vista Movie Maker WMV files will not play from our streaming server. Our
usual routine of converting WMV into ASF and calling for the mms: via ASX
fails to launch the file and creates a server block.

When uploaded to a stanard web server, the same Vista produced WMV files
play fine albeit not buffering as effiencently.

I uploaded a wmv file made in Vista's Movie Maker to the mydeo streaming
service... it handled it as usual and the video streams fine.
