The .NET Framework can use native .NET Data Providers, OLEDB Providers or
ODBC drivers. So, as long as you find one of those components for FileMaker
you will be able to connect to the database
Apparently at least version 7 mentions an ODBC driver (although it would be
better a native .NET data provider):
