There's not a huge amount of difference, other than that. There's
(apparently) some kind of unix compatibility layer in ultimate, which I was
hoping would be a replacement for cygwin, but isn't (in fact, it's as good
as not there for most users). There's also more networking support, and
remote desktop works better, in some manner. There are more backup solutions
in Ultimate too.
To be honest, I wouldn't worry. Premium is all the best bits of vista.
Ultimate is basically business vista with the bits from Premium it lacks
(most visibly, media tools such as media centre).
But mostly, yeah, it's to do with how many people it kills, and how hard the
sky will hit your head.
