Is there any way to password protect MSAS?

I use MSAS on my xpsp2 system. Is there any way to
password protect MSAS so persons on user accounts cannot
change the settings or shut the real-time protection off?

Well, you have to be an Administrator to change the settings in the first
place. So, you don't have to worry about that, there is also no limited
account support in beta 1, should be resolved by beta 2.

This has been requested by others--and Microsoft reads the feedback offered
here.

This definitely isn't available in the current beta product, I'm afraid.

some people is looking for this feature but its not
currently availabe and not expected to be added since
they might use different ways on how to prevent user from
changing the settings for example only administrator can
change setting, so window account with limited account
cannot change the setting this is one way, but beta 1
does not support limited account yet, beta 2 will support
limited account.
