I'm not sure that you could accomplish what you need using Word's graphics.
You could try something completely different, however, to see if that might
help. Just type out the names of the staff in an ordinary document. Apply
the appropriate built-in heading styles to indicate employees' levels
(Heading 1 for the CEO, Heading 2 for the CEO's direct reports, Heading 3
for the next level, and so on).
Then use the Document Map (View > Document Map). You'll get a clickable,
hierarchical list, which may do the job for you.
