I am trying to send email to an emailing list. Some of the recipients do not
have Word. Is there a viewer that they can download to be able to open my
mail with not problems or ommitted data?

There is but wouldn't it be easier to send the email as a message instead of
as an attachment? I'm only saying that because a user who doesn't have Word
may not be comfortable downloading a viewer.

I don't have the page saved but if you search Microsoft's site, you can find
it easily.

Hi Brenda,

This is the link (it will take you directly to the Viewer 2003 Download page):

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en

Don't be put off by the 2003 ... this version lets users open Word 2003
documents and documents created with all previous versions of Word.

You can copy the above link into your e-mail message advising recipients why
they need to download it. As JoAnn says though, some of them may not be
comfortable with such a process. If I were you I would include a "cop out"
clause in your e-mail saying that recipients should check with the IT
Helpdesk first.

And that's assuming they have Windows XP. I've found some people can't even
quickly tell you which version of Windows they have.
