I guess you didn't bother to read Steve's answer to Jamie89? Please do so.
It's just a few posts down the list from here.

Like Ute said, somebody just asked this:
hi, i created a collage in powerpoint and now want to put it as a wallpaper,
anyone can tell me how please do!

And somebody else answered:

Assuming this is a single slide:

Choose File, Save As
In the Save As Type listbox, choose PNG or JPG
Give it a name and save
When PPT asks, tell it to save just the current slide

That will give you an image file of your slide which you can set as wallpaper
as you would any other image (rightclick the desktop, choose Properties, go to
the Desktop tab and click Browse to pick your image.

Sonia- that answers for a single slide, I wanted to know if there was a way
to have the slide show as the wallpaper. Any thoughts? Thx. Robert Balter

Wallpaper is a single static image. Therefore you'll need to select one slide
that you want to use.

If you want a true "screensaver" which repaints the screen with multiple
differing images, much like a video, to protect it from image burn-in, use the
screensaver solution offered.

Sure.

You can't.

But I think you're asking the wrong question maybe. Wallpaper is one still image
that fills the screen. Oh, I suppose you could use a gif hosted in an html page,
but ...

Anyhow, do you want a screensaver rather than wallpaper?

Have a look here, particularly the very last suggestion on the page:

Make a screensaver from PowerPoint

Thank you very much, saves me trying to figure out how to do something that I
can't do.
