Is there a way to stop Frontpage 2003 from saving my pictures twice? It
takes up too much room and I don't need a larger version of the picture.

THANKS

What are you doing to cause FP to save two copies?

If you are talking about the 1 kb file in the hidden _vti folders, don't worry about these
folders/content, as that is the meta data the FP uses to manage your web site.

I am just choosing INSERT, PICTURE and then FROM FILE. It saves the file
twice. 2 different sizes. When the page is published it shows the pictures.
If you click on the pic, then a larger version shows up by itself. I don't
want that to happen. Any suggestions would be great.

THANKS for the reply!!

What happen when you import the image into the current open site, prior to using it on your page?

Sounds like you are making thumbnails?

If it is what I think it is, then it is only a function Internet Explorer,
not Frontpage......it is a feature in IE, nothing you've done to make it do
this.

IE just displays a smaller version. The "actual" size is the one when you
click on the pic and it displays the bigger picture. I believe this can be
turned off in I.E.

I can't see how FP could save 2 copies of an image without your
intervention - i.e.you telling it to do so.

What you're describing does not sound like it is making a thumbnail/large
image. This seems different to me.
