Is there a way to quickly add multiple people to shared permission

We have about 30 people here and when a new assistant starts (or even a new
staff member) we must either manually goto each staff member (30) and enable
sharing of all calendars/contacts for that one new user or, at a workstation,
logoff/login as those 30 different people and manually share it out.

Looking to see if there is an easier way, so that we could make this easier
when someone new starts that needs access to all 30 individual calendars.
Tried using an AD distro/security group but it doesn't seem to wanna "take"
and the recipient user is denied access to the calendar/contacts.

An AD group is the way to do. Maybe you didn't wait long enough to use it? The microsoft.public.exchange.clients newgroup might have other ideas.

No I waited about 2 days (used in between) so I definately gave it enough
time to replicate the changes..
