is there a way to post a topic specific thread

I was wandering if it is possible to post my new thread to topic specific. By topic specific i mean to say if i want to ask a question about microsoft excel can i go to that section and post my question?
I usually post my question onder general index. i don't know if that is what i should be doing.

Usually better to post your question to the relevant section since more people who are knowlegable in that respect will browse there .

Yes in the Software section at the top we have a Windows Applications section
