Is there a way to open a word document from Lotus Smartsuite in W.

hello,

I have a friend who sent me a document done in Lotus smartsuite for me to
read but I don't have Lotus and would like to read it. I have tried opening
it in Microsoft Word, I have looked on the internet for a download to allow
me to read it with no luck and have tried searching the websites for answers.
Does anyone know how I could read the document? thanks

There are no filters for WordPro, but you *may* be able to open it with
Notepad to see the text.
For AmiPro (older Smartsuite) the old filter is linked from the downloads
page of my web site.

Notepad may help if the Wordpro file was saved with small file format
disabled. In any case, ask your friend to save the file in word or RTF
format, WordPro 9.8 does that quite satisfactorily in general.
