Is there a way to minimise windows mail to the tool bar?

I want to know if there is a way to take windows mail out of the task bar and
put in in a mini form like you do with the old Outlook 2003 when you minimize
the mail client it goes to a icon near the clock and then notifies you of new
mail when it arrives???? Please help this is for my mom.
