Is there a way to limit the content of a cell to 5 choices?

For example, if I had a column "Favorite Fruit" but wanted to limit the value
to apple, orange, banana, pear, mango - is that possible?

Yup, use the data menu, then validation - set it to list and either
type the list or reference it - the reference must be on the same
worksheet UNLESS it's a named range which can be anywhere!
