Is there a way to insert footnotes in Excel?

I need to know if there is a way to add footnotes to an Excel spreadsheet?
My guess is thatr there is not. Thanks.

You could add a footer line in a printed worksheet to include you footnotes.
This won't be visable on screen though.

when uploading files in to main frame like SAP etc wont these footers
interfere??
Pls advise
