is there a unique contact id for each contact?

Hello,

is there a unique contact id for each contact in outlook 2k? and if there is
can it be accessed by vba? i've got all the code which pulls the contact
details out using mapi ( e.g .firstname, .lastname etc) but i need a unique
identifier for each contact
