Is there a time limit on how long to keep calander entries?

I have a problem with syncing my blackberry curve calendar to my outlook
calender version 7- no matter what setting I choose on the blackberry
manager version v4.6 (outlook wins, add all conflicts - etc) when I sync it
wants to delete all entries on my outlook that I did not also enter into the
device. NOT GOOD. Someone mentioned it might be due to how long I have
programmed for entries to keep on outlook or the device - and I cannot find
that option on either. Any other suggestions since some entries are
recent.... Can you help? Thanks!

there is a setting on the device.
open the blackberry calendar options, general options, near bottom is an
option for how long to keep. I'm using forever.
