is there a problem with the field / macro button facility?

I've set up a document with the facility to copy date from a document, to a
single grid of data for user ease. To do this, i've used a Microsoft standard
macro, in the form of a field / macro-button. The button itself works on my
computer but, when i send the document to another user, it reverts from being
"update all" to being the first option on the list.

Can anyone explain why, or what i've done wrong. This is the ideal solution,
and i'm tearing my hair out...

resolved.

Apparently the macro wasn't standard, and was only on the local PC, not in
the document.
