Is there a "paper saver" program for printing PDF files?

I'm looking for a program that will print two PDF pages to each side
of a sheet of paper. Does anyone know of one ?

I have found a few paper saver programs for photos and one that prints
text files, but I couldn't find anything at all for PDF files.

TIA

Don't know of a freeware one (but a (shhh!) Windows Payware one is
FinePrint, http://www.fineprint.com>. I've used it for a number of
years now, and it works really well)

I don't think the trial version ever expires, but it does print a tag line.
Also, be sure and check your printer options. Some print drivers have this
option built in.

Pdf995 suite (adware or payware versions) claims to do this, but I don't
have it installed on the machine I am posting this from so I cannot check.

Yes, a number of years. Hang on, I should have some email on file...
Earliest newsletter dated 2000-08-15... Ahah, purchase date: Tue Jul

I think 3-1/2 years counts as "a number of years". And I am sure the
product existed long before I found it.

Hits site... Oh, now I understand... I meant that the OP could use the
FinePrint software to multi-print the pdf document, you thought that I
meant that he should use the pdfFactory software... :)

Cheers,

It may already be available on your computer. When you print click on
the Property to see if the driver for your printer have the option of
printing multiple pages per sheet. Different printers have the
setting in different places. It could be under layout, features, or
output tab.

If your printer does not have that option in the driver you will have
to do it in two steps. Print to CutePDF printer (cutepdf.com) which
does have the multiple pages per sheet, up to 16. Then print the
created file to your regular printer.

or use the totally fab'n'free PrimoPDF Free PDF Creator (www.primopdf.com/) and
having printed your document 2-up style to PDF, then print the PDF (2-upped)
normally.

It's a long shot, but... check your printer manufacturer for an
updated driver. I was happy recently to find a "multiple pages per
side" option buried in mine!
