is there a maximum amount of data that can be in a list?

is there a maximum amount of data that can be in a list? I have a list
that has 45000 records. When I select one of the header boxes looking
for an item, it doesn't have all of the items listed. Is there a max
or how can I get it to show all items in the headers?

You can check most limitations by typing Excel Specifications and Limits into
the Excel help input window and press enter. Click on it when it shows on
the menu and most specifications will be displayed.
