I use XP Professional and Office 2003.

I have been using Outlook Express as my email client. Recently I decided to
try Outlook as the email client. I have succeeded in importing the messages
from OE to Outlook. In OE I had messages from my POP3 as well as hotmail
accounts. In addition I have created an "Archived Hotmail" folder for
private messages that I wanted to store and keep private. I could do this
with the Advanced File Folders program.

Here is the problem. In outlook I do not see separate files (such as dbx in
OE) for each of the message folders. Is there a file in Outlook for each
message folder. If so where do I find it?

I hope that I could find these files so that I could store them on a CD, or
"hide them" as I had been able to do with OE

So there is no way to handle each mail storage folder (Archived, inbox, sent
etc) as separate entities???

No.
If you use the Archive option it creates a seperate pst, you can open this
within OL.
All the Folders, and any new ones you create, in a Personal Folder, are part
of that individual pst
You can also if required create a new additional pst
