Is there a "batch" method for assembling picture slides in PowerPoint 2002?

A

Andy I.

In PowerPoint 2002 when assembling a slideshow I use the following procedure
in order to have each picture fill the slide and retain the aspect ratio:

INSERT | NEW SLIDE | FORMAT | BACKGROUND | click on arrow for dropdown menu
| select FILL EFFECTS | PICTURE tab | click SELECT PICTURE | click on name
of desired picture file | INSERT | check "LOCK ASPECT RATIO" | OK | APPLY.

I'm very happy with the results, but it's a bit time-consuming when dealing
with a large number of slides. Is there any way to set up a "batch" method?

Thanks Lucy.

I was hoping that there would be some way to "automate" the procedure that I
use.

Hi Andy

There may be some VBA solution to adding pictures as slide backgrounds, but
I'm not a VBA-er so don't know I'm afraid :). Some one else might be able
to help though...

Yes, there is a VBA solution. The Batch Import page on the FAQ points to a
VBA solution that will automate the whole process.
