Is the image bootable?

Is the image created by Ultimate bootable? I assume that is is not. Does
Ultimate have the ability to create a bootable DVD? Is there a 3rd party
program that can take the Ultimate image & create a bootable DVD?

Thank you.

Any good third-party software recording program, such as
Nero or Roxio Creator, can convert an .ISO image into a
bootable DVD disc.

I personally use the free version of DeepBurner (www.deepburner.com) to
convert ISO's to bootable CD/DVD's

I've always wondered why anyone would buy an OS pre-installed with no
install disc. Whats the advantage to the consumer? I don't see any.

I bought a PC preinstalled. One of the programs that came with it makes a
set of install disks.

My new Compaq laptop and my old HP desktop both let me create restore
disks. The problem is that the system is restored to the as-shipped
condition, which is not what I want to go back to.

Solution is to use a third-party program like Acronis to make an image
of your system and a bootable disk.

I got an HP laptop in June & it came with restore CDs. What I want to do is
use the restore CDs to restore the laptop to its "factory-fresh" condition &
then upgrade to Ultimate ( I have Home Premium.) & then use a 3rd party
program to create a bootable DVD.

Your restore CD is probably a DVD - either way, it's bootable and it
will return your computer to "factory-fresh" condition.
